Our Mission
At OpenPHR, our central mission is simple: to democratize healthcare for the world.
We believe that cutting-edge clinical intelligence should not be locked behind proprietary corporate firewalls or geographic borders. By curating, verifying, and indexing the most advanced open-source datasets, models, and tools, we enable clinicians, researchers, and engineers anywhere on Earth to build the next generation of life-saving medical pipelines.
Who We Are
OpenPHR is proudly operated by Patient Journey Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to open medical research and software engineering.
The platform was founded and built by a core team of MIT Alumni who recognized a critical gap in the clinical AI ecosystem: researchers were building incredible models, but there was no central, standardized repository allowing hospitals to easily discover and deploy them.
By combining our backgrounds in distributed systems, machine learning, and bioinformatics, we built OpenPHR to bridge the gap between academic discovery and clinical deployment.
